Zheng Asian Supermarket

The brief for this project was to transform the internal non-performing food court space in a local Brisbane Southside shopping centre, into an Asian Supermarket to complement the local demographic.  The project involved strategic demolition of the existing tenancies, merging one food tenancy into the supermarket space and another was relocated elsewhere in in the centre. Some of the existing seating area from existing foodcourt area was repurposed for the use of the supermarket.

Redbank Plaza – Food Court

PROJECT:Foodcourt Renovation
CLIENT:Retail First
LOCATION:Redbank, QLD
COMPLETION:2013

The brief was to update the twenty-year old existing foodcourt with a light and modern design. A new seating arrangement allowed for an additional 150 seats, once the original joinery was removed. With the addition of new heavy duty dining chairs, bespoke joinery and casual lounges, this created some aesthetic variation within the space. The highlight of the foodcourt was a three-metre wide custom drybar with an overhead suspended light feature. The general lighting was also addressed with the latest technologies in energy efficiencies and optimal light output.

Raw Espresso – Café Fitout

Xing Dong Chinese Massage – Retail Design

The brief for this project was to re-locate an existing tenant into a smaller space, due to expansions within the centre. The fitout consisted of a Chinese-inspired detailed shopfront with a seating and a curtained massage areas behind. The challenge was to carefully space plan the contents into the new tenancy efficiently considering workflow and the overall aesthetics. The end result was a visually-pleasing design to compliment the centre’s future aspirations.

Cineplex Balmoral – Cinema One

PROJECT:Cinema Renovation
CLIENT:Cineplex
TOTAL AREA:400 sqm
LOCATION:Bulimba, QLD
COMPLETION:2014

The inspiration for this design came from the glamorous 1920’s, being the original Avro Picture Palace. The design transformed the 400sqm cinema into an opulent reimagined space, adorned with large crystal chandeliers and layered heritage detailing. The intention was to add atmosphere and ambience generally lost by other modern cinema chains.

Cinema One now allows Brisbane patrons to have an old world cinematic experience, to bring the occasion back in to going to the theatre.

La Prima Caffé – Café Fitout

PROJECT TYPE:Cafe Renovation
CLIENT:Cineplex
AREA:52 sqm
LOCATION:Bulimba, QLD
COMPLETION:April 2014

Located in the Cineplex Balmoral, the inspiration of this project stemmed from our client’s origins and love for the Italian coffee culture. The intention for the atmosphere in the café was to reflect a modern take on a vintage Italian street café. The focal point for the café is the recycled window wall, which acts as a conversation point for visiting patrons. Opposite is a brick clad wall, styled with old prints of the original cinema, Avro Picture Palace, established in 1920.

Queensland Lions Football Club – Richlands

PROJECT:Clubhouse Renovation
CLIENT:QLD Lions FC

Our scope for this project was to  improve the appeal of the existing bar,  to encourage more loyal clientele. We were also involved in improving the TAB, cafe, minor improvements to the kitchen functionality and an additional DOSA overlooking the soccer field. This injected a much needed fun and excitement into an otherwise unused space. This project lead the way forward for all future renovations to the club to date.

Sofitel Broadbeach – TC’s Bar & Gaming Lounge

Formerly known as Treasure Cove, the gaming venue attached to the Sofitel, once a hive of activity was growing tired and lacked interest. Our brief was to update the venue to closely align it with the Sofitel brand without alienating the existing clientele. The space was carefully thought about as not to create a gaming specific venue, but as a multiple purpose space for gaming and the non-gaming patrons could feel comfortable alike. Reconfiguring the entrance from the shopping centre side gave the space much needed interest and privacy to the gaming patrons. The corporate image was also revamped with the colour scheme reflecting the natural habitat, that is Broadbeach.
