Hot Concepts exhibited at the recent Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo in March, at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Thanks everyone to all the positive feedback on our stand!

Hot Concepts regularly features in industry publications. Read our QHA August article about the functional designs of bar work spaces, and the effect these have on the employees and the establishment.

Hot Concepts is proud to announce we have been shortlisted for the IDEA 2014 awards, for our renovation to the Cinema 1 at Balmoral Cineplex – Oxford St, Bulimba QLD.

We will find out in August if we make it to the finals, after giving a presentation to the jury in Melbourne. Watch this space!

In late March of this year, we finished the first stage of the Balmoral Cineplex renovation. This consisted of the Cafe, now referred to as La Prima Caffe, and Cinema One.

In a very quick 5 weeks we managed to achieve the program from demolition through to handover, just in time for the opening night.

The image below shows the opening night for the movie “Half of a Yellow Sun”, where the director was present and held a question time after the movie had finished.

Great night, and we were relieved to have finished the cinema in time!!!

Interview with owner of the Hotel Norville, John Anderson. Interview was with Ken Ross, Managing Director of Hot Concepts in March, 2012. The locals compared the renovation of the hotel to that of something that you would in Melbourne as apposed to that of Toowoomba. The town is rich with rich architectural heritage and tradition and the renovation of the hotel relfects the notions of this.
