The brief for this project was to add an additional entry to an existing shopping centre complex, Calamvale Central Shopping Centre, for Retail First Group. This was the second stage of the project, which allowed customers to gain access immediately to the central tenancies of the centre, from the upper carpark. Previously access was only on either end of the complex near the major anchor tenants.
The scope of the project involved creating a new food tenancy with outdoor dining areas, an interior lounge area for the general public to rest, and a new awning and entry statement, visible from the road. Other tenancies were re-configured to allow for another tenancy to have an outdoor dining area also.

PROJECT:
Foodcourt Renovation
CLIENT:
Retail First
LOCATION:
Redbank, QLD
COMPLETION:
2013
The brief was to update the twenty-year old existing foodcourt with a light and modern design. A new seating arrangement allowed for an additional 150 seats, once the original joinery was removed. With the addition of new heavy duty dining chairs, bespoke joinery and casual lounges, this created some aesthetic variation within the space. The highlight of the foodcourt was a three-metre wide custom drybar with an overhead suspended light feature. The general lighting was also addressed with the latest technologies in energy efficiencies and optimal light output.
